The church (body of Christ) has been waiting almost 2000 yrs for the return of Jesus.
We are not hearing much preaching or teaching on the 2nd coming of Christ these days. The church has been more focused on making sure people feel safe and are not offended by the gospel we preach. And of course that people will come back to our churches.
Yes, we want people to come back to church, but we need to deal with the greatest problem that mankind personally has ever had... and that’s sin..
The Bible doesn’t say Jesus is coming back for a full church... or a comfortable church... but a church that is without spot or wrinkle!
"13 But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.
14 Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless"
(2Peter 3:13-14)
"that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless."
(Ephesians 5:27)
Yes, Jesus is coming again... But the question remains, are you ready?
