Jesus Made an amazing statement in Matthew the 16th chapter... "I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." (MT.16:18)
Jesus makes it very clear that upon Peters statement "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God." That Jesus would build His Church...
The problem is we want to build Jesus' church our way instead of His way. With our systems and processes along with a Wall Street mentality in building a business we have missed the mark in many instances.
Really Jesus has given us the most important tool in reaching the world around us. Acts 1:8 says, "...you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses..." unfortunately we only allowed the Holy Spirit to fit in where we think it's convenient in our church services and in our personal lives. Jesus wants to build His Church... and He's given us what we need to participate in His Building Plan.
What is our responsibility in all this Church Planting that is going on today... "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you..." (MT.28:19,20)
And when we are following all that Jesus has commanded us... His church will be built!
